Home Appointment Service
The Depot encourages all consignors to bring in a photo of the item you wish to consign. From the photos, we can determine which items are popular and will sell easily. For larger items, The Depot offers convenient preview service in your home. We charge a flat fee of $50.00 to come to you home, and this is completely refundable if you consign your items with us. Telephone the store to arrange an appointment. We will inspect your merchandise to determine the retail price range based on: brand name, general condition, patina, repairs, general consumer demand and pricing. We view each consignment as a partnership. It is in everyone’s interest to price your item at a fair market value that would realistically sell quickly.
Pickup & Delivery Service
The Depot can provide you with the name of companies that provide pickup and delivery. Fees are paid directly to the delivery service at time of furniture pick-up or at time of merchandise purchase at our showroom. Consignors may elect to deliver their own items to our showroom. However, we need to know in advance if you will be bringing in any large items of furniture that will require special moving arrangements. Just telephone a few days ahead and let us know.
Retail Store Policy – No Returns
The Depot has a “No Return policy”. Consignment shopping differs from department store shopping in that all of our stock is on display at all times. Our inventory consists of one-of-kind items, model home samples, estate pieces and closeout furnishings. Check each item carefully before you decide to make a purchase. Every effort is made to insure that The Depot’s merchandise is in good condition. It is your responsibility to inspect your selections carefully prior to purchase.
